Editorial guidelines
The aim of Digital Pulse is to bring together different opinions and experiences, and to debate the biggest topics in marketing.
With that in mind, you won’t find pages of strict editorial guidelines. We won’t ban split infinitives, or tell you how long your sentences should be, but below are just a few things to bear in mind if you’d like to contribute to the magazine.
Contact us with an idea first.
As with any other magazine, it’s best if you get in touch with an idea (or a few!) initially, so we can discuss what will work best, as well as time it around any similar content.
Strong opinions are welcome.
A balanced argument is fine, but if you’re writing an opinion piece, it should have just that – an opinion.
Don’t be afraid to be creative.
Please do feel free to inject some personality into your content. As an industry we’ve become so obsessed with copy being informative that we’ve forgotten it can be entertaining too.
No “guest posts” purely driven by SEO.
That’s not to say we don’t accept posts from guests that include a link back to their site – we do. But first and foremost, it should offer value to the reader.
No strict word count.
But we’d generally expect to see at least 400 words.
Please also bear in mind that we may make edits for grammar, clarity and tone where necessary.
Get in touch.
Please get in touch with your article ideas, interview requests, or if you have some work you think may be suitable for our spotlight feature.
