PRCA offering free membership to professionals affected by COVID-19
Offering some positive news to PR employees who have been made redundant due to COVID-19, the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) are offering six months’ free membership, in a “small print-free” gesture.
Open to those who have seen a significant decline in their income, the offer is open to both members and non-members, and the trade body has suggested it will take the word of those claiming to have suffered losses.
PRCA director-general Francis Ingham said: "To help those people access resources, keep up their professional development, and interact virtually with their peers, we’re offering them six months' free individual membership.”
He explains that the PRCA want to look after and support the PR community: “This is our attempt to do just that, so that people can pick up new jobs and new contracts as quickly as possible.”
It comes following news the CIPR has offered its members a payment break.
